Myrtle Beach Family Entertainment with Coastal Scuba!

Our new family entertainment complex is now open.  Here is a little information about the facility and some of the exciting programs we offer!:-

About Our Facility
The new facility will be a 10,000 foot facility that houses both the Coastal Scuba dive shop and the headquarters of the Little River Fishing Fleet, as well as a swimming pool, tiki bar, and grill area.  Visitors are invited to explore a collection of museum quality artifacts,- all found on our local shipwrecks, and our touch tank is one of a kind, featuring local marine life like lobsters, starfish, horse shoe crabs, and sea urchins!

The Kid's Program - Aqua Adventures
Bring your child as a member of a group from your property or as an individual guest!  Coastal Scuba offers nightly educational programs from 6:00 pm to 9:30 pm.  Children will be involved in exploring underwater activities that are fun, safe, and easy, such as snorkeling, diving, and other games in our heated pool.  Your children will be a part of the Padi's Kid's Project Aware program which was designed for children to discover and learn about the fascinating aquatic world, and also to teach them how to respect and conserve our ocean.  We will also have cool videos featuring local diving footage of sharks, eels, barracudas and other interesting marine life.  This program is great for a parents night out!  ( $40 per child, snacks included.)

Discover Scuba
Here is an underwater adventure suitable for individuals or for the entire family.  One of the Coastal Scuba dive masters will instruct you on the basics of scuba diving, and then help you get suited up in dive gear so that you can test your new skills in the safe confines of our heated swimming pool.  If you decide to continue your education by enrolling in our open water course, the discover scuba fee is fully deductible.  You must be at least 10 years old to participate.  (Course price 40 dollars)

Private Pool Parties
In addition to taking advantage of our scuba diving charters and our fishing charters, your group can now enjoy themselves in private parties at our facility and enjoy the tiki bar, grilling area, and swimming pool.  If you would like, our scuba instructors can even outfit your party guests in scuba gear, (guests 10 years and older) teach them the basics, and lead them through a few fun scuba games and activities.

Team Building Parties
Our trained staff has exciting tasks based around the pool that will surely challenge any group, and they can include tasks done with scuba diving gear, or without.  Activities done with scuba gear emphasize the building of new communication skills, since participants find themselves unable to communicate verbally!  Activities done without scuba gear emphasize problem solving, creativity, time management, and organizational skills.  All team building programs are based on a two hour time frame,  (extra time negotiable), and here are a few of top activities involved:  

• Pirate Boat Building - Your mates must build a seaworthy vessel that can transport two people across pirate infested waters.  Team members will learn how to work together by building something unconventional,- with unusual materials!
• Aqua Missions - Your group can meet goals by constructing underwater objects in our large pool with our trained staff.
• The Water Barrel - This is a challenging course that will build group camaraderie using kayaks, buckets, and piping.  If you think filling a bucket full of water is easy, well,- try it our way!
